SmartStrand® with DuPont™ Sorona®, a renewable fiber used in Mohawk carpeting, was the 2009 recipient of Floor Covering Weekly’s GreenStep Award.
CARE named Mohawk its Large Recycler of the Year in 2009. CARE stands for Carpet America Recovery Effort, a joint industry-government effort to increase the amount of recycling and reuse of post-consumer carpet and reduce the amount of waste carpet going to landfills.
